Inquisitive Kids is a magazine intended for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade teachers and students in Indianapolis, Indiana with their mascot "Quizzy." It is a print magazine as well as an online learning tool.

Inquisitive Kids Mission:

The mission of Inquisitive Kids, Inc. (IKI) is to enable supportive adults and community organizations to come together for the common goals of instilling in children an enthusiasm for academics, an appreciation of the arts, and development of life skills.
As experienced publishers and educators, IKI recognized a need to provide academically accurate and credible information to children that encouraged critical thinking skills and practical application of learning. At the same time, IKI also recognized the vast array of community organizations available to assist children and their families but lacked an efficient, reliable way to communicate with their target population. With this in mind, IKI set out to create the ideal communication system. This model addresses the needs of all educational stakeholders – students, teachers, parents and community organizations.

Inquisitive Kids is endorsed by Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents, Indiana Department of Education.

Since the inaugural race in 1911, the Indianapolis 500 has become steeped in rich tradition, one of the most alluring aspects of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.”
Here is the history of some of the most popular and enduring traditions of the “500,” written by Indianapolis Motor Speedway Historian Donald Davidson:
500 Festival Parade
The 500 Festival Parade took place for the first time in 1957. It, and several other related activities, largely came about following a series of newspaper editorials by local columnists over a two- or three-year period, who had witnessed the several-day celebration in advance of the Kentucky Derby.
